Case study · Menswear & Suit Hire
DT One
A menswear and suit-hire shop trading since 2000, moved off WooCommerce onto a store that tracks every size, takes payments and handles its own refunds.
Logicode Digital built the DT One menswear store in Cavan, replacing WordPress and WooCommerce with a custom online shop. The 2026 build carries 336 products across 1,175 size and colour variants, with live Stripe card payments, click-and-collect or delivery, stock enforced at every step, and refunds and returns handled from the shop's own admin.
The brief
DT One has sold menswear in Cavan since 2000 and has moved into suit and wedding hire alongside it. The WooCommerce site behind the shop had become the usual pile of plugins, and it could not be trusted on the thing that matters most in clothing retail: stock. Sizes appeared for sale that were not on the rail. Refunds meant logging into a separate payment dashboard, and staff had nowhere single to run the day from.
What we did
We rebuilt the shop as a custom application designed around sizes and stock rather than generic products. Every item carries its own size and colour variants, each with a stock count, and that count is checked again at the bag, the cart and the moment of payment, so the shop cannot sell what it does not hold. Customers pay by card in-page and choose click-and-collect or delivery. Staff run everything from one admin: a size and stock builder on each product, orders, refunds and returns, a journal, and settings that control delivery charges and the homepage.
Security
Built to stay locked down.
Every site we build is audited before launch and hardened as standard. Here is what that means in practice for this one.
- Card details are handled entirely by the payment provider and never reach the website
- Payments are confirmed by a signed message from the payment provider, so an order cannot be marked paid by anyone else
- A repeated payment notification can never be counted twice, so stock is only ever deducted once
- Every price, total and stock level is recalculated on the server at the moment of payment
- Staff accounts are protected by two-factor authentication, with owner-only areas closed to ordinary staff
- Customers can only ever see their own orders, checked on the server
- No server files, settings or source code are reachable from the web
- Independently audited before launch with no known vulnerabilities
Search & visibility
Built to be found.
Technical SEO is part of the build, not an upsell afterwards, so the site launches ready to rank and ready to be quoted by AI search.
- Old WordPress addresses redirected, so the shop kept the search history it had built since 2000
- Product and business structured data, so listings can show prices and availability
- A sitemap that updates itself as products and journal posts change
- Every uploaded image converted and compressed automatically, with alt text built from the brand and product name
- Server-rendered pages that search engines and AI crawlers can read without running scripts
- A perfect 100 SEO score on Google Lighthouse
Design & brand
Styled around the business.
Navy and a hard red, with a heavy condensed sans for the headlines: closer to a streetwear lookbook than a traditional menswear shop, which is the point. The hero reads "Dress like you mean it" and the photography is the shop's own. A settings-driven banner across the top lets staff run a sale or announce that wedding hire is booking, without anyone touching the design.
